Quick FAQ
A refundable deposit applies at pickup on the included CDW. The exact amount depends on the vehicle group — €400 (Group A/B), €600 (Group C/D and Fiat 500 Cabrio), €900 (Tiguan group), or €1200 (Cabrio / 7-seats / 9-seats). The deposit is released after the vehicle is returned in the condition it was collected. Adding the optional Super Insurance (FDW) brings the deposit down to a flat €200.
On the included CDW the maximum customer excess in case of damage equals the deposit amount for the vehicle group (€400 / €600 / €900 / €1200). Selecting Super Insurance (FDW) reduces the excess to 0 €.
Super Insurance (FDW) reduces the excess on covered damage events to 0 € and lowers the refundable deposit to a flat €200. It does not change the standard exclusions: tyres, glass, mirrors, undercarriage and interior remain excluded under both CDW and FDW.
The €200 is not a damage excess — with FDW your excess on covered damage is 0 €. It is a small refundable hold for the things no motor insurance policy can cover: traffic and parking fines, missing fuel, and similar charges that only become known after the rental. If none apply, the full €200 is released after the vehicle is returned.
